Intersection of KY 3 and KY 321 north of Prestonsburg. KY 321 is an old routing of US 23, this portion of KY 3 was built as a connector route between the old and new alignments and actually served as part of US 23 for a brief period before the four-lane construction near Paintsville was finished.
