New York State meet trip
Sept. 30-Oct. 5, 2009
Day 4 (NY, including meet photos)

These photos are from my trip to the 2009 New York State road meet held Saturday, Oct. 3 in Highland, Poughkeepsie and Newburgh, NY. These photos are from Day 4 of the trip and are from New York. Included are photos from the meet which included the Walkway Over The Hudson at Poughkeepsie and the reconstructed interchange between I-84, I-87 (NY Thruway) and NY 300 at Newburgh. Thumbnails for the 198 photos span two pages. Use the arrow buttons in the upper left corner of the page to navigate the thumbnail pages. To view the full-sized photos, click on one of the thumbnails on this page. You will then be able to view the images on individual Web pages.

Day 4's first photo is this very old button copy sign on Washington Avenue in Kingston.

Entering the roundabout.

Unfortunately this photo didn't turn out too good.

Some old button copy overheads.

More old button copy.

There are actually two sets of "End I-587" signs and this is the second set.

These are the button copy signs photographed in the nighttime from the day before.

This is the end of US 209, but the route could be extended across the Rhinecliff Bridge to end at US 9 on the east side of the Hudson.

Sign goof! This should be US 209.

These oddities can be found just north of the US 9W/US 209 intherchange.

There's enough room here to expand NY 199 to four lanes.

A view of the old railroad bridge across the Hudson that was converted to a pedestrian walkway and was the focal point of the Poughkeepsie meet.

These photos are from the Walkway Over The Hudson.

A look at the Mid-Hudson Bridge.
