2008 Richmond, Va. Road Meet Trip
July 2008
Day 4

These photos are from my trip to the Richmond, Va. road meet in July 2008. This trip combined the actual journey to Richmond with a multi-day county-collecting and sightseeing trip through Virginia and North Carolina. These are photos from the fourth day of the trip. The 437 photos are spread out over five pages of thumbnails. Use the arrow buttons in the upper left corner of the page to navigate the thumbnail pages. To view the full-sized photos, click on one of the thumbnails on this page. You will then be presented with navigation controls to view the images on individual Web pages as a slide show.

Virginia likes to use a lot of white-on-black for regulatory signs.

The US 29/460 freeway has been named, in Clearview, for Jerry Falwell.

No, that's not Jerry Falwell back from the dead.

A look at US 460 heading east out of the mountains.

This is in Pamplin City.

Not far from Pamplin City, VA 47 enters Charlotte County, my first new county of the day.

Now heading back north on VA 47.

The end of VA 47.

Back on eastbound 460.

Old-style US 15 shield with the classig look.

VA 307 is a cutoff connecting US 460 with US 360.

Unisignage where US 460 meets US 360.

More unisignage.

More Clearview.

And another unisign.

US 460 between Crewe and Petersburg.

And more unisignage.

A unisign for a secondary route.
